My taste buds crave yummy food everyday. So, in order to satiate them this time, I landed up at Cafe Infinito in BKC (Bandra Kurla Complex) locality of Mumbai. It was a delicious experience gorging on some of their Continental delights. A special mention for Murari Das, the man who patiently attended our table and recommended the prawn anti-pasti, that I thoroughly enjoyed. Here are some of the dishes that I ended up ordering and relishing: Fire Cracker Prawn: These were fresh prawn seasoned with salt, wrapped in strips made out of spring roll sheets and deep fried. The strips gave a lovely crunch to this antipasti dish, while prawn wrapped inside tasted juicy and moist. A dip of sundried tomato aioli served with the prawn went to further enhance the dish. Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli: One cannot go wrong with the combination of spinach and cheese with pasta. The ravioli with aforementioned combination as filling came in a delicious porcini cream sauce. The sauce beautifully balanced out the salty flavors of the ricotta and left me craving for more. Sri Lankan Chicken Curry & Rice:
This is one of the best Asian coconut-based gravies I have had. While eating the curry, one can easily taste very subtle flavor notes of coconut and spices like black peppercorns, red pepper and cardamoms. The heat was perfect and not overpowering the flavor of different ingredients in the curry. The chicken was present in the curry in copius amounts and was cooked perfectly. A portion of steamed rice enough for a single person came along with the curry. Do try out the above dishes the next time you are at Cafe Infinito and let me know your experience. Till then, HAPPY EATING... |
