Tucked away in an unassuming by lane of the bustling locality of Sion suburb in Mumbai, this place is delivering authentic Italian pizzas to your doorstep. The pizzas here are comparable or maybe even superlative than some of the best pizza places in town. The reason being owner and chef Pranav Gore is translating his years of experience and passion for Italian cuisine into each perfectly crafted pizza the place dishes out.
From the dough to the toppings, each component is prepared every day from scratch using the best of ingredients and the traditional Italian way of preparation. The outcome of this routine is some exceptional tasting food.
So, here is a look at my gluttony with food from this place:
I am obsessed with street food and that is the only reason when I heard of this place recently, I decided to take a 2.5 hour drive in peak, evening traffic towards Borivali to sample its fares. Maa Anjani was started by Devang Trivedi and his father (who happen to be stock brokers by the day) more than three years ago. Their passion for bringing some delicious street food to scores of Mumbaikars has seen this place burgeon from merely a pav bhaji place to that offering numerous other famous street food preparations like pudla, pani puri, tawa pulao, falooda, gola, khichiya papad etc.

A long, relaxed weekend at home becomes even more pleasurable if you have delivery kitchens providing scrumptious food at your doorstep. One such place that I ordered food from over the bygone weekend was The Central Kitchen operating out of Sion, Mumbai. One can place an order with them either through a phone call or their website or app.
So, here is a look at the food I ended up ordering from this place:
CHICKEN MALAI TIKKA
Six medium sized pieces of boneless chicken garnished with grated cheese made up this appetizer. The chicken was succulent and had a pleasant smokiness reminiscent of its cooking in a tandoor or charcoal fired oven. The use of cream and spices in its marination had imbibed the chicken with a rich, earthy flavor.
While the cuisine of North India especially that from Delhi and its surrounding areas is predominantly non-vegetarian, there are numerous vegetarian preparations that are assured to wow the palate of an obstinate non-vegetarian like me. This is precisely what transpired during my recent dinner at the pure vegetarian restaurant, Delhi Highway in Andheri East, Mumbai.
Here is a detailed account of my glutton at this place:
Broaster Company in the USA is primarily known for production of pressure fryers for broasting cooking methodology. They also market a wide range of spice mixes that can be used on chicken meat for the marination process before broasting.
In India, the Broaster Company has opened up their first restaurant franchise of Genuine Broaster Chicken in the bustling locality of Versova, Mumbai. The place has a raw appeal owing to its rustic, casual setting. While the place serves Broaster Company’s signature chicken, majority of dishes on its menu have been curated by renowned chef, Harpal Singh Sokhi. The theme of the menu is clearly fusion food where popular food items from American cuisine like burgers, finger food etc. have been recreated with elements from Indian cuisine.
