Although I have never been to the north-east part of the country, but various infotainment shows around the region's culinary delights have long piqued my curiosity. And now with the meal delivery-service O'Tenga in Mumbai I finally got to relish traditional Assamese food, one of the prominent cuisines from north-east India.
Nowadays with growing inclination of people towards eating healthy, not only restaurants but also meal services are upping their game to provide superlative quality and nutritious food to patrons.
A new, premium brand on the block in the wholesome meal delivery service space is Mandala. Just as the harmonic symbolic representation that the brand derives its name from, its meals have been worked out to balance the various principles of food pairings with organic produce and nutritional ingredients. Mandala’s focus is on bringing organic food to our tables through its nutritious offerings like salads, rice/burrito bowls, desserts and much more.

South High is the new place in town to get your South Indian food fix and it does not disappoint. With a comprehensive menu spanning delicacies of the five Southern states of the country, this place has ample choices to offer to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian diners. Also, value for money vegetarian thali comprising a plethora of dishes can be savoured for under INR 400 (exclusive of taxes).

While I am a self proclaimed non-vegetarian food enthusiast, there are few ocassions when my palate finds pleasure in vegetarian fares. But, my grief with vegetarian food is the limited options available in the form of paneer, mushrooms or assorted vegetables curry and stir fries in most takeaway or dine-in outlets.
However recently I came across the Herbivore, a premium, gourmet meal service that serves up a plethora of vegetarian chows like one bowl meals, artisinal dips, appetizers, salads, soups, desserts and much more in different culinary styles. So, here is a look at some of the preparations I indulged in from their existing carte du jour and new festive menu to pamper my taste buds to vegetarian treats:
The bustling Colaba Causeway in Mumbai city is not only home to some crazy trinket shops but also legendary restaurants. Trying to make its space in this bustling locality is Kuai Kitchen, a QSR (quick service restaurant) serving up delectable Asian fare. The brand is the brainchild of Neville Vazifdar, the man behind fine dining restaurants Royal China and Jia-The Oriental Kitchen.
The place is a petite one with a handful of tables available for those who wish to dine in. But , it has a wonderful casual vibe and some great food. I decided to dine in and Rajesh Shrestha and his team provided excellent suggestions and service to make this meal a memorable one.

This upscale eatery has been intriguing Mumbaikars with its distinctive gastronomy for a few months now. Hence I too decided to pay a visit to this restaurant to titillate my taste buds. The place dishes up traditional Peruvian and other Latin American cuisines for patrons providing a truly international dining experience. Extending its repertoire of culinary styles, the restaurant has now introduced popular Mexican street food delicacies in their menu. So, quickly settling into the restaurant, I commenced my gluttony with a few classic and a few new food offerings.
Here is look at what I ended up sampling at this place.
On an insanely hectic day in an unforgiving traffic situation, I made my way into this chic lounge plonked near the Carter Road promenade. I was looking forward to catching up with fellow foodies from Food Bloggers Association, India (FBAI). Indeed what awaited me in terms of a wonderful FBAI Soiree hit me as soon I made my way to the place through candle-lit staircases.
My first impression of the place was it’s a perfect hangout to catch up with friends over some delicious food or simply spend a relaxing evening soaking into some good music as the bartender stirs up a quirky cocktail for you.
When commuting woes grip you especially during peak evening hours, all you need is someone to deliver delicious food to your doorstep at an affordable price. Well, this place exactly does so ensures your meal is a delicious one.
After a tiring day at work, I decided to order in dinner from here and I am glad I did so. The food arrived neatly packed and lived up to my expectations in terms of taste as well as portion size. The pricing too had been kept very reasonable for the quantity of food provided.

Soulful music, delicious food and tastefully done up ambience are the elements HYMUS RESTO BAR in Oshiwara packs to provide a memorable dining experience to its patrons. The place has both indoor and outdoor seating areas but my pick would be to dine within its walls that boast of a rustic yet chic wooded décor and soft amber lighting.
Since I was the teetotaller in my group I ended up gorging copious amounts of food on my recent visit to this restobar that does have an elaborate food menu to charm a glutton like me.
So, here is a look at my gluttonous experience at this place:
