Monsoon and its accompanying munching sessions are the most sought after moments by any individual let alone foodies like me. The lovely weather just beckons you to pamper your taste buds to delicious snacks. But, this year I have decided to have an offbeat kind of monsoon snacking. I am making my monsoon munching a gourmet affair not only for me but my loved ones through premium, chic, scrumptious offerings from the L'Exclusif range from Nature's Basket.
Curated by culinary specialists, the L'Exclusif brand umbrella has products like chips, cookies, ice creams, chocolates, dips, jams, conserves, coated nuts, jujubes etc. The range boasts of ice creams utilizing fruits in their natural form and no presence of any kind of preservatives or stabilizers, fruit conserves that are developed without any kind of artificial food flavors or colors, pure coverture chocolates and much more.
So, here is a look at my gluttony with some of the products of L'Exclusif brand:
With cousins over for a midnight gupshup session, I decided to open up two different variants of baked Nacho Crunchers to go along with ketchup & thousand island dips. The FIERY WASABI corn crisps packed quite a heat and a hint of sweetness. The CHEESE & HERBZ TEASE variant had a strong flavor of cheddar cheese and subtle flavor from Italian herb mix. The contrast in flavors of the two aforementioned nachos worked well with each of the dips leaving everyone begging for more. Also, this snack is devoid of trans-fats and cholesterol and the cheese variant is even gluten-free. (Pricing INR 125 for 140 gm)
After we were through with our savory munching, it was time to sweeten the palate. Out came a very simple, refreshing, creamy, tart COCONUT & PINEAPPLE ice cream. The coconut flavor immediately hits you and lingers on the palate until the pineapple chunks bring in a lovely subtle sour punch. (Pricing INR 225 for 380 gm)
For me no sweet indulgence is complete without chocolate. The DARK CHOCOLATE with ANISE was a decadent treat. However, in my opinion the dark chocolate had masked the flavor of the spice and it was difficult for the taste buds to grasp the traces of star anise present. (Pricing INR 239 for 80 gm)
After midnight indulgence, the next morning breakfast was a simple affair for me comprising of sunny side up eggs, toasted slices of bread and a TROPICAL FRUIT CONSERVE comprising of guava, papaya and bananas purees with sugar. The highlight of this conserve or jam made with different fruits was that no artificial colors or flavors were used. It was the natural fruit flavor that serenaded the palate and proved a yummy accompaniment with eggs. (Pricing INR 159 for 330 gm)
So, do try out the L'Exclusif range from Nature’s Basket and let me know of your experience.
Till then, HAPPY EATING...
