![]() For all those tuned into the TV Channel Food Food in India at 9 pm yesterday i.e. Friday 9 pm, saw the popular ‘Out of the World’ series return for a second season. In its season 2, the series with culinary genius Chef Sanjeev Kapoor takes you on a breathtaking, flavorful journey across the continent of Australia. The first episode opened with Chef Sanjeev Kapoor beginning his passage to Australia in the city of Melbourne. The chef’s reference of the city as World city was truly apt, given that Melbourne has a multi-cultural environment which even reflects in the scores of world cuisines available in this city. In this episode Chef Sanjeev Kapoor met up with Chef Matt Dawson, who is the Executive Chef at Captain Baxter, St Kilda, Melbourne. Chef Dawson showcased his recipes of Szechuan Barramundi Fish with Sweet Fish Sauce and Braised Chick Peas. Both the preparations looked so delicious that I was left salivating at their mere sight. Chef Sanjeev Kapoor was even seen soaking into the city of Melbourne while enjoying food on the Colonial Tram Restaurant. For me the most proud moment on the show was when Chef Sanjeev Kapoor went on a guided tour of the Melbourne Cricket Ground with his guide Joe Stanley, who pointed out the framed image of Sachin Tendulkar’s meeting with Sir Donald Bradman. It is said that there are only three photographs in the world of this epic meeting – one that is present in the MCG and remaining two with each of the gentlemen in the picture. In the prelaunch event of the show held earlier this week, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor had already set the stage for this series by sharing some of his exciting experiences from this journey, in which he would be covering Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. One present could easily visualize the pictures being painted, when the chef so passionately spoke about cooking with Australian ingredients and alongside Aussie chefs and also interacting with Australian cricket icon Brett Lee. Also, further in the series Chef Sanjeev Kapoor will be seen attending the Melbourne Food and Wine festival, shopping at the popular Salamanca Markets in Hobart, blending wines at the Barossa Valley and many more interesting activities. The entire series has been developed in collaboration with Tourism Australia and has been conceptualized and directed by Mr. Runjiv Kapur of Performance Limited. Out of the World Australia is presented by Wonderchef, one of India’s fastest growing kitchen appliances and cookware company. So, do tune into this Australian gastronomic trail, ‘Out of the World - Australia’ every Friday at 9 p.m. only on Food Food.
