GLUTTONY MEMOIRS FROM THE UNITED KINGDOM

One cannot visit London and not indulge in FISH & CHIPS. Seen in the image is a generous portion of home fries and fresh batter-fried cod served along with green peas. This was one delicious, hearty meal I had at Liberty Bounds in near Tower of London.

I thoroughly enjoyed MEXICAN BURGER from Handmade Burger Co. in Ocean Terminal, Edinburgh. This burger came packed with comprising of handmade Mexican salsa, hand crushed avocado, tortilla chips, chipotle sauce, jalapenos, tomatoes, lettuce, red onions and a well-done, juicy meat patty. Devouring it was indeed a foodgasmic experience. Also, the ambiance of the restaurant and it beautiful location overlooking the sea added to the overall experience,
I had the most amazing MAYFAIR BEEF BURGER at the Burger & Lobster outlet in Little Portland area of London. This 6oz beef burger was by far the juiciest burger I have had. The meat used was primarily that of the chuck and brisket and was seasoned to perfection. The addition of cheese brought richness and accentuated the flavors of the meat. A side of pickles and fries completed the dish.

I also indulged in the most amazingly sweet GRILLED LOBSTER served with a delicious lemon & garlic butter sauce at this place. The dish also had a side of fries and salad with a balsamic vinegar dressing and Parmesan.
Snacking on luscious BLUEBERRIES which were being sold straight off the farm in Fort Augustus, Scotland was one experience that brought me close to nature. Understanding the produce and respecting it .is so imperative in any food journey and this experience truly humbled me.

A visit to UK is incomplete without having SCONES for breakfast. Also, known as quick bread these baked goodies have a mild sweetness and are best relished with jam & butter/fresh cream. Seen her are SCONES with sultanas I indulged in at the Inveraray Castle Tea Room in Scotland.

Do let me know what do you think about my gluttony in the United Kingdom.

Till then, HAPPY TRAVELLING
