In every culture, people have labored with love to create food that is a true representative of their way of living. From staples to secret recipes, from spices to desserts, the culinary journeys are enthralling.

Hailing from Mumbai (previously referred to as Bombay) which is a cultural hotbed, I have had a penchant for exploring food cultures of not only the various regions of my country but also those across the world.

This blog is also small attempt to preserve my culinary legacy since I come from a lesser-known ethnic clan called Kokani Muslims that inhabit areas only in the Konkan belt of Maharashtra. Our cuisine is a rare mix of Maharashtrian, African and Arab influences with some fascinating recipes that include not only traditional curries, breads & stir-fries but also pasta, pancakes and much more.
